I am trying to reduce inches off of my belly and sides, and I need to know what are the most effective exercise methods and diets that work. Hello, I would appreciate it, if anyone could reccommend any home made weight gain recipe drinks. I would like to have some useful ideas for delicious recipes as well as gaining lots of healthy weight. This question is also dedicated to any weight gain hopefuls out there. Hi guys, here 2 recipe I made up, Recipe 1
Whole milk half glass
Banana 1 whole
Oats 1 tablespoon
Peanut butter smooth 1 tablespoon
Chocolate spread/sauce 1 tablespoon
Recipe 2
Whole milk half glass

Advocado 1 whole
Vanilla ice cream 1 scoop
tastes great! You can add flaxseed oil capsule too, I would use a electric blender. Drink 3 x daily. I have been to doctors and had blood tests, I dont have a thyroid problem or other problems, I am normal. Lets just focus on delicious recipes. Thanks.

I posted a question about trying NOT to lose anymore weight the other day. I have lost roughly 15 lbs in 6 months. I don’t necessarily want to gain, but I definitely don’t want…or need…to lose anymore. It was suggested to me to drink Ensure or Slimfast in addition to regular meals. It was also suggested to go see the doctor to rule out Thyroid. You may want to also talk to your family doctor to see what they suggest.

I’m 14,and very overweight.
I’m starting to feel bad in my chest,and I know it’s stress because my friend is very sick and in the hospital with cancer and I usually only get pains when I’m really stressed about him,but I know that if I don’t take care of my weight now I could have heart trouble in the future
what are some good ways to lose weight for me?
I’m about to start school soon,any lunch ideas for me?
I know about not eating junk food and stuff,so that’s out of the way
but anyone have some exercise plans and stuff that would be good?
I’d really like to lose weight fast but I understand that it won’t just go off that quickly expecially since I’m so overweight.
I would like to be down to 150 by the time I finish high school though.

To really lose your weight for good. Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise. They will increase your metabolism rate and burn fats.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

I’m 18, weigh 172 pounds and my height is 5 feet and 4 1/2 inches. I know it’s way beyond the ideal weight. And I don’t really know how much I need to lose, and most importantly, how.

What sort of exercise regime do I follow? And what are some of the things that I can eat? Any other tips and tricks you have, please let me know…

I don’t want to go on a crazy diet, I just want to lose weight the healthy way. How much time would it take to lose around 65-75 pounds?

Get a personal trainer if you’re into the gym, or take a spinning class if you like stationary biking. Alternatively, yoga is great for dropping the pounds, as long as you stick to it. For all of the above you need to exercise 4-5 times a week for at least an hour to see any sorts of results.

As for a healthy diet, I’ve heard Jenny Craig and those sorts of places can be good, but really all you need to do is start cutting out bad things in your diet – cakes, candies, sodas, anything highly processed and full of sodium or sugars. Diet sodas especially have to go. After you’ve done that, stock up a lot on fruits and veggies (fruits contain natural sugars – your body has a much better time with them, so don’t worry there). Eat plenty of protein, but eat red meat 2 or less times a week. Chicken and fish are your best bets. Every meal should be small, and you should eat about 5 times a day. The three "main meals" should be around 400-600 calories, and then inbetween meals should be about half that. (The small snacks can be things like a handful of peanuts, an apple and string cheese, etc.)

For example, a good breakfast would be: A carnation instant breakfast mixed with 1tbsp peanut butter (assuming you’re exercising regularly), a couple thin slices of lean turkey, and a small handful of almonds.

Like I said before though, baby steps. Keep three meals a day, just make them smaller and healthier. Subtract processed foods and stock up on fruits and veggies.

Above all, find a type of exercising that’s right for you. I found yoga, myself, but I know people who swear by running, swimming, or spinning.

Your ideal weight might not be a size 0. There are plenty of women who find themselves comfortable around a size 6. It’ll take time, aim to lose 1-2lbs/week.

Remember, it’s a lifestyle change. To lose weight and keep it off, these are things you want to incorporate into your life, not lose weight and go back to your old habits.

Ok so im 16 and have just started college, but i feel kinda self conscious because of my weight, im not HUGE but i would like to lose maybe a stone. Can anyone give me any tips on the best and quickest ways to do this

The quickest and easiest ways are not the healthiest or the best. Are you looking for a quick 10 pounds or something more permanent? Most weight loss, if not due to change of habits, are temporary at best. From my experience, start a journal (just for a week or two) and note EVERYTHING you eat and drink. It’s amazing how much we eat when you count snacks and meals and in-between-meals. Take a look at how much is healthy and how much is filler. Switching to diet drinks sometimes helps, and drinking lots of water helps you a lot too.

Coincidentally, strength training is actually one of the best ways to lose weight. If you increase muscle mass, then there is more muscle there to burn energy (calories) and so your resting body will be burning more calories than if you were musclceless. Gaining muscle can be as simple as some pushups, or as complicated as you want.

The way the Fat Loss 4 Idiots Diet works is not by watching the calories you are taking in but is based around a calorie eating pattern.

Obviously the next question is how does it work? Well, that is the million dollar question and the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet secret so I can’t tell you in this review.

The idea is that you will teach your body to remember your calorie intake, then you suddenly change your calorie intake. This leads the body to make changes in your favor with the calorie burning. For instance if you were taking in 2,000 calories a day and suddenly change to 1,000 calories the body says “I thought we were on 2,000 calories a day?” and thinks it must start burning more fat!

I need to lose weight and fast. I would also like to get a 6 pack while doing so. I do go to the gym. So what is the best and fastest way to lose weight and get a 6 pack at the gym?

There is no telling how long it will take to lose 50 pounds. It depends on how much you weigh no and your individual metabolism. Are you more interested in losing the weight or in getting fit? An effective way to lose weight is to fast but to get ripped whle fasting, I don’t know about that.

Still if you follow the principles in Dr. Fuhrman’s books you could lose 50 pounds in a year or less; maybe even in as little as 3 months? His books emphasize the importance of a nutrient dense diet.

My girlfriend feels she needs to lose weight and i wouldn’t mind getting in shape myself. Only problem is we don’t where to start. What diets can you start and what type of exercise routines we should use?

Also is there a site we can go to for tips on making healthy food for cheap, exercise routines and etc.

If you never exercise, start by just going for a 2-mile walk every day (great chance to chat and bond with her!). As far as diet goes, really keeping a food diary is the best place to start. It gives you a reality check as to when you’re eating too much or what you eat without even thinking.

After a week or so, start adding calisthenics such as situps, pushups, etc.
