Well im 16, and seeking to lose some pounds. Im not fat, but i have a pudge and i dont like my thighs. I want to know some easy ways to lose weight. What foods should i stay away from? And what foods should i start eating?
I would really appreciate your answers.

1. First start by getting up earlier than usual. Around 5:30 AM to do some of you workouts. Getting up early shocks your metabolism because the body needs more energy to get going. Right? This will start your system on the road to weight loss. That early start with about 10 minutes of stretching. Have a cup of coffee to get the blood going also.

2. Do all the sit-ups you can. Just do them. 15 or 20 whatever, we don’t have a lot of time to work with. Rest 1 minute repeat, do this for 6 sets. Already you are breathing hard and feel worn, because the body is working extra hard at being up earlier and then going right into exercise. If the early morning hour lets you get your cardio in, go ahead and do it. 30 minutes.

3. Diet. Cut all current meal portions in half, just cut them in half, nothing fancy or complicated, CUT IN HALF! Cut out all bread products, all gravies, candies, chips, night snacks, etc. If you crave at night eat a banana, other fruit or best a non-fat yogurt. There are some tasty ones out there.

4. In the evening do another 6 sets of sit-ups maxing out each set. Cardio again. The trick is to stay with getting up earlier. Yes it’s hard, that’s why it is so effective. Why do you think the Army gets up so early, it is intense training to the max.

I really need to lose minimum 30 lbs & i want to AS FAST AS POSSIBLE (: please help. tips? advice? motivation? ANYTHING? Easy diet & excersize plans are appreciated (; 10 pts to best answer.

Do more walking and exercise whenever you can. The little things don’t count? Think again! Try taking the stairs instead of elevator. Walk or biking instead of driving. When you’re waiting for a curling iron to heat up, or a toaster to finish toasting :) try dancing or lifting your legs. Eat toast or applesauce or yogurt for breakfast. Take out unnecessary items in your luch, like cookies or chips. Get outside and do something, too! Take a bike ride, go play tennis, go jogging with a friend. See if one of your friends is trying to lose weight, too, so do it together. Go walking together, or biking together, or go play tennis together! Want to know what else helps? Get a skinny state of mind. Believe that you can get skinny, and you will.

I belong to a Planet Fitness Gym, and I am looking for a basic guideline of whats a good fat burning exercise plan. {eg x mount of minutes on an elliptical, x amount of minutes on a stationary bike]

I usually spend about 90 minutes at the gym.

Can a hamster have sugar in their diets?

To be more specific, in some diets in certain brand food they include sugar in the ingredients. Does anyone know how this affects hamsters?

I’ve done my google searching, and to my surprise I didn’t find much information. The specific brand is Hutch Klub Food – Hamster & Gerbil- 2 lb. They didn’t specify how much sugar is in the mix.

I’m sure it won’t hurt them! We had a hamster once and it used to eat those yogurt nuggets!

in other words, do you gain weight because you are just more tired on an anti-depressant and therefore less willing to work out? or, is there something in the drug that chemically causes you to gain weight?

I take Wellbutrin SR (150 mg) in the morning, and Lexapro (10 mg) in the evening, for depression and anxiety. I’ve been taking that for over two years, and it’s working very well for me.

The Wellbutrin SR seems to help me to be more alert and active – and wanting to do things – while the Lexapro makes me more mellow, and it helps me sleep better, too. They are relatively low doses of each medication, which keeps side effects at a minimum. I really can’t tell I’m taking any medication at all.

I have to think it’s because of the tiredness / drowsiness of the SSRI medication. It makes you want to not do much, just sit around and play on the internet or watch TV. The Wellbutrin SR that I take helps with that, it’s kind of a "pick-me-up" and helps get me going.

I am 15 and so basically, I can’t do diet pill, or anything expensive. Im 5′3 and 160 lbs. I really want to be atleast 120 lbs by April or May, cause I have a bunch of stuff I need to look good at. I really would like any suggestions anyone has to help me!

That is to much weight to lose in such a short time. Don’t reduce your calorie intake below about 1500. You body will start to shut down as a famine response.

You should focus on looking better. You can do that with exercises. Start off slow and add more each day. You might not not lose the weight, but you will look better. Muscles weigh more then fat, so weight is not a good measurement. You should be more worried about body mass index (BMI).

A benefit of having more muscle mass is muscles burn more calories then fat.
