I almost weigh 300 pounds. I do walk , workout at night, and I swim sometimes. I trying to get down between 210- 225 . I don’t smoke or drink beer. I drink a soft drink product in the morning every day. I don’t drink coffee. I sometimes eat breakfast. I eat more fruits and veggies for lunch and dinner. Thanks for y’all help.

You need to eat breakfast each day. It’s the signal for your body to restart your metabolism after slowing down at night while you sleep.

I was close to what you weigh, and I have lost weight by finding a healthy eating plan that I can stick with. Planning what you’re going to eat in advance will always help you make healthier choices. Planning has been the key to my weight loss.

i work out twice a day, morning and night. I usually try to watch what i eat; a wheat bagel in the morning, a portioned lunch, small snack before 6, then i don’t eat after six. Sometimes i lose weight a couple of pounds and then i gain! What am i doing wrong? I think the problem are my lunches, i eat a big lunch sometimes only because i know im not going to eat after six so i eat enough to get me full. Any suggestions with my situation?

Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.

Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few additional small changes – walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.

Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can’t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.

Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate – in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don’t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.

Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.

Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.

Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.

An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

i eat at least three meals a day n workout at least three times a week.so yeah…have anyone had any success in weight loss whatsoever.

about five months ago i weighed 270lb now I’m 5′11" @ 185 lb. i came up with a diet and devoted myself to it..all i did was stay away from ***any fried foods***(french fries, breaded stuff), no white bread, no sugar drinks(cool aid, lemonade, sweat tea).

I would eat about six times a day(not bad for a diet right). I’LL eat 3 main meals through out the day and between meals i would eat a large fruit(apple, banana, yogurt, etc.)

*EAT: oat meal, cereal, baked foods, pot roast, grilled chicken, bar-b-q, stakes, baked or mash poatato,tuna, salads, egg whites, anything you can make in the formen grill is good (any food with NO OIL) (BREAD if needed: only 1-WHEAT bread per day)

*DRINK: water, grean tea, crystal light, low fat milk, protein shake. *(use splenda in replace of suger)*

*HUNGRY @ NIGHT: eat oat meal, eat ceral(low fat milk), eat boiled eggs(take the yellow out) not to much, just to lose the hunger at night.

*HOW TO EAT YOUR MEALS: in the morning and through out the DAY eat your heavy meals (stakes, grilled chicken, b-b-q, etc.) Towards the end of NIGHT eat your light meals (salads, cereal, egg whites, tuna etc.) Between meals (2-3 hours after your main meal) eat your large fruit or drink a protein shack.

*WORK OUT: just CARDIO, all i did was.. walk, jog, run.. about 2-4 times a week (cardio). I did some liffting weights (lots of reps with LIGHT weights=cardio)

*stick to this delicious diet and some workout. I garantee you’ll lose some pounds within your first week.

i am 5′5 and weigh 145 pounds. i should weigh 135 according to my height. i want to lose roughly 15 pounds in 3 to 5 weeks. is this workable? and how do you do it? what diet and/or workout should i do?

I am 16, 185 pounds, and 5′9, i just want to lose belly fat, and around the "love handles" any suggestions for targeting those areas?
