I&#8217;m mainly trying to lose weight from my legs and stomach&#8230; Not, erm&#8230; other places. xD<br />
<br />You can&#8217;t spot reduce. Your body will lose weght where it sees fit.</p>
<p>1.) Eat right- That is the only way to get good results. None of the &quot;no carb&quot; &quot;no fat&quot; bull####. You need a healthy amount of food. About 1200-1500 calories a day intake if you are trying to lose weight. 1500-2000 a day if you are trying to maintain. You may need to eat more than that if you are active in sports or other things. </p>
<p>2.) Exercise- Here we go. To lose weight or tone up, you need two kinds of exercise.<br />
Cardio- This is any exercise that gets your heart rate up, and keeps it up for more than 25 minutes. Running, Jogging, Bike riding, Swimming, Sports, and cardio machines are great ways to get cardio. You can also try different workout videos. Try renting some first, to see if you like it, and then if you do, maybe purchase it.<br />
Strength- This is any exercise that helps you tone up. Crunches, pushups and many exercises you find that target certain areas are probably Strength exercises. If you are trying to tone up a certain part of your body, visit www.toneteen.com . They have many exercises for target zones. </p>
<p>3500 Calories is equal to one pound. This means if you consume 500 less calories a day, workout for till you burn 500 calories, or do a combnation of the two, you will lose 1 pound each week. Say you cut out 300 calories of food, then you need to burn off 200 a day. Simple, isn&#8217;t it. </p>
<p>There is no fast way to weight loss that will be permanent. What I have written here is a fool proof way to lose weight. Watch what you eat and exercise. If you want to come on here, saying that you have tried exercise and eating right, and it didn&#8217;t work, you did it wrong. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m 16 and this is my senior year in high school. I&#8217;m overweight and I want to lose a few pounds for prom. I don&#8217;t want anything drastic, but maybe 20-30 lbs around springtime. That seems to be realistic for me. And I&#8217;ve always been deemed heavier for my age by my doctor. But it seems that right when I started sprouting boobs, I gained weight.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t have any access whatsoever to gym equipment. They&#8217;re expensive and we&#8217;re poor and I don&#8217;t live near a gym. I have a bike, but it&#8217;s cold out.<br />
Running or brisk walking would be the only exercise I could do, but I don&#8217;t live in the best neighborhood for young girls to be outside with no adult home.</p>
<p>I personally don&#8217;t think I eat much junk food. Occasionally, I&#8217;ll have a Kit Kat, but you&#8217;ll never see me scarfing down huge bags of chips or those ridiculously huge drinks that I see plenty of kids doing, that happen to be thinner than me! How unfair is that? I&#8217;ve never been a big junk food eater. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve been doing research on weight loss and I&#8217;ve read plenty of it that says not everyone is wired genetically to be thin. But, you won&#8217;t know if you don&#8217;t try, right? Even though everyone, except for like 3 people in my family are overweight. And I&#8217;m not exaggerating.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m lactose intolerant so I avoid milk even though I&#8217;ve heard it&#8217;s good for maintaining a healthy weight. I&#8217;ve drastically cut down on my fried food intake in the past few months, but saw no change. I don&#8217;t drink loads of pop or juice. I also don&#8217;t drink lots of water. After I drink it, for some unknown reason I can&#8217;t pee and it makes my stomach hurt. But I do drink 0 calorie, sugar and carb free Aquafina flavored water when I have it on hand. It&#8217;s quite tasty.</p>
<p>I also eat quite a bit of fruit. Peaches and apple especially. Some times watermelon, but not recently. I like vegies too, but we always have apples and such on hand because my mother knows how much I love them and is glad it&#8217;s not Twinkies (which are gross) or something like that.</p>
<p>I know that calorie-cutting diets aren&#8217;t good for teens since we&#8217;re still growing and will be depriving our bodies of nutrients and vitamins, so is there any effective and safe way for a teen to go about losing weight?<br />
I know sports are good exercise too, but I suck at them. I&#8217;m not joking. I&#8217;m the clumsiest person you will ever meet and I&#8217;d rather not break my neck on the basketball court.</p>
<p>I was thinking of begging my mom for a Wii fit for Christmas. They look really fun. And no one else has one. Yay for braggin&#8217; rights!<br />

<p>There are many reasons for sudden weight gain and it&#8217;s possibly that maybe you have an underactive thyroid?  It&#8217;s a genetic disease.  What happens is that it&#8217;s possible your thyroid is not producing enough hormones that maintain your metabolism and so you gain weight a lot easier/faster, too. (I have it~)  If you get the chance, checking with the doctor + getting a blood test could help.</p>
<p>Also, it&#8217;s true that calorie cutting isn&#8217;t good for teens and since we&#8217;re still growing, what we need is exercise.  Exercise can also help increase metabolism.  Even doing daily jump-ropes and especially excessive hula hooping could help lose weight.  Or just regular stuff like daily push ups and sit ups.  You just have to make it a habit. </p>
<p>Drinking lots of water is necessary, though.  It&#8217;s strange that your stomach hurts. If you don&#8217;t already, maybe you could try boiling the water or heating it before drinking?  And it&#8217;s good for females to avoid cold foods as much as possible. </p>

When I came back, I was like 113, and that&#8217;s where I have been for a couple months. I want to get back down to around 105-107 range. But, in a healthy way. I&#8217;m not doing any sports right now, which is probably why I&#8217;m not at my normal weight. I do lacrosse and track in the spring, but in the fall i have nothing. First of all, am I fat? Not fat, but, chubby? Normal? Thin? And what are some healthy ways to lose weight. Any activities I can do that aren&#8217;t too time consuming? I have alot of homework, so I don&#8217;t usually have too much freetime during the week. And I don&#8217;t want to diet, but go ahead and give me some ways to lose weight in a healthy way. I don&#8217;t mind it taking a while, but I want to see at least a little improvement in my weight in a month. Sorry this is so long, but please answer me!<br />
Oh yeah, I forgot. What can I eat that will fill me up, but is not too fattening? For some reason I am always STARVING! Like literally, an hour after I eat, I&#8217;m hungry again. What should I do? And why does that happen?<br />
<br />It&#8217;s very helpful to have daily athletic exercises at your school. You are not fat (: What I do is take dance for my physical education class, we do a lot of different exercises. Once a week, we run a mile around the school. One way is to say healthy is DO NOT take the easy way out. Take stairs as opposed to elevators and if you find you live close to a certain place, jog over there in your free time. Limit you junk intake. Sure, it sounds great at the time, but just think how your body will respond once the junk level gets too high. You can also take a homework break and do about 25-30 simple crunches. It keeps you toned; you might want to increase the number of crunches you can do when you find you can. In your free time, instead of using the computer or watching TV, walk around a nearby mall, jog just one time around the block&#8230; all these everyday exercises can keep you healthy <img src='http://a-faris.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>

<br />The Key to a new body is consistency. When you decide how you want to loose weight stick to it. Healthy eating is also an important key to loosing weight. But crash diets are not good for you, and acually if you do not eat your body goes through dramatic phases and may make you even larger because your metabolism slows down, thinking that you may be starving! If you buy unhealthy foods or if they are around you, you will be tempted to eat them. Sorround yourself with healthy but good-tasting foods. Did you know fruits and vegitable contain a lot of sugar! Too much of anything is not good! Fruits and vegitables do not contain protein which is needed to loose weight! You need to have diary products! (Some healthy choices are beans, cheese, milk, soy ect) However not having enough sugar in your body, is unhealthy!If you are a couch potato work out while you are watching television. You can work out during commercails, or through the whole show. Search the web for some good excersises for whatever you think you need help on. (If you think your stomach could be less flabby, leggs, arms whatever!) Set goals for yourself and dont give up! DO NOT eat when you are watching TV. When you watch TV you ae disracted, so you dont even see how much you are eating. If you really enjoy eating and watchhing TV I understand, just make sure that you put whatever you want in a bowl, or make some way to set how much you are eating. Good luck!</p>

<br />ok this information that i will b giving u is very important because i use to weight 180 at the age of 11 n i wasnt very tall&#8230;. now im 17 at 5&#8242;7 n i weight 130 pounds&#8230;thats very healthy&#8230; now this is how i lost all that weight&#8230;. it will take u about 3 to 4 months but remmember if u put ur mind to it u can really do it&#8230; ok in the morning eat ONLY a bannana with half a cup of 2% milk between 8 n 12 o clock&#8230;it depends at wat time u wake up&#8230;in the afternoon between1 n 3 o clock eat a regular lunch&#8230; when i say regular i mean anything ur mom makes as long as its nothing fattening..eat a lunch that contains no oil or fried in it&#8230;its is best to eat meat during lunch time&#8230; do not eat hamburgers fries or n e thing from FAST FOOD PLACES&#8230; if u want something to go eat something healthy at SUBWAY&#8230; the best place to eat when on a diet n want to eat a quick LUNCH not DINNER..if u get hungrey later on between 3 to 7 eat a salad&#8230; do not eat after 7 because thats how u gain massive weight trust me&#8230;. if u get hungrey between meals eat FRUITS or VEGTABLES&#8230;thats it nothing else as snacks&#8230;. drink lots of water because water helps u lose the fat because u pee it out&#8230; i would say try to fit in 8 glasses of water A DAY&#8230;.try to excersize&#8230; walk around the block every day or if u have stairs go up n down lyk 10 times a day&#8230;n e typ of excerisize is good even if it is small&#8230; when u first go on this diet u must b determined to do it&#8230;. NO SUGAR AT ALL&#8230;.. when u eat sugar n the sugar reaches u body it turns into FAT&#8230;.so no sugar lyk candy cookis&#8230;. I NO IT WILL B HARD BUT TRUST ME U WILL LOVE THE RESULTS&#8230; ok somethings that u most avoid but can eat are milk, bread..ect&#8230; what i mean is that when u drink milk get the 2 or 1 % milk NEVER THE WHOLE&#8230;. the whole is very fattening&#8230;the bread u can eat but NEVER EAT WHITE&#8230;. buy wheat&#8230;.when ever u but a drink lyk orange juice or minite maid ALWAYZ go for the FAT FREE or LOW CARB&#8230;..another thing i will go into is the calories &#8230; count ur calorie intake because that helped me when i was in or on a diet&#8230;. do not EXCEED more than 2,000 calories&#8230; if u go over board or 50 or 75 calories thats ok&#8230;.but if u intake 2,000 calories a day for a month u will c a drastic change&#8230;. remmember 3,500 equal to a pound but if u are not on a diet u can only intake about 2,200 calories a day&#8230; but try to intake 2,000 for a diet&#8230; do not count the calorie intake of fruits or veggies on ly ur salad n drink and lunch meal&#8230; if u follow this u will have great results&#8230;.remmember be DETERMINED&#8230;i would love for u to lose weight because i lost weight when i thought i couldnt&#8230; o 1 more thing&#8230; sleep for no more than 8 to 9 hours a day because if u exceed that u will gain major weight&#8230; sorry if i gave u too much info lol good luck n remmember it worked on me</p>

<br />Make sure you eat regularly-healthy foods like lean white meats, eggs, whole meal bread, fruit and veg etc. Try having smaller portions-use a smaller plate.  Make sure you exercise regularly, try swimming, running, cycling invest in a small trampoline. You need to get your heart rate up to around 24 beats per 10 seconds for your age. That way you&#8217;ll be burning fat when you&#8217;re excersising. Find you&#8217;re heart beat-either in your neck or on your wrist. See what it is when resting-you may not even really feel it. Then try running up and down the stairs for a couple of mins-now test your heart rate. It shoul be faster than before! Good luck!</p>

<p>I swim at least 12 hours a week and only eat when I need to (and I don&#8217;t really eat junk food). So how can I lose at least 3 pounds?</p>
<p>**Oh and by the way I&#8217;m 13, 5&#8242; 4&#8221; and weight 111 lbs (if that means anything.<br />
