The information I’ve been reading recently indicates that in order to burn fat most efficiently, one should keep the heart rate at a lower level than for cardio exercise. The calculation I’ve got is 220 minus the age (33) multiplied by 55% and 65% to give the appropriate range for optimal fat burning. This gives me a range of 103 to 122 bpm. That seems low. Does anybody know whether this is correct or if there is another, more exact calculation?
You heart rate should fall between 60 to 80%. That would put you between 112 to 149 bpm.
